CREATE "EVERY DAY" PRODUCTS THAT WILL BE UTILISED BY PEOPLE WHO ARE CONSTANTLY MOVING AND UTILISING ACCESSORIES WITH THE GOAL TO MAKE THEM A "STANDOUT" PIECE WHEN WORN. TRYING TO NATURALLY "WEAVE" THEM INTO THE PRODUCT TO PROVIDE NEW METHODS OF CRAFT AS WELL AS TO SERVE A CERTAIN PURPOSE. HENCE THE USE OF SEVERAL TECHNIQUES SUCH AS SCREEN PRINTING, PATTERNMAKING, WEAVING, AND CUSTOMISATION IN ORDER TO ACCENTUATE SMALL DETAILS THAT GET OVERLOOKED. THIS WILL BE IN THE FORM OF TWO BAGS (ONE BIG, ONE SMALL) AND A LAPTOP CASE. ITEMS THAT WILL BE USED EVERY DAY AND SERVE A PURPOSE.

The main exploration here was trying to see how I could incorporate weaving both into design elements and then also into the item without having to create a separate pattern for the woven strips. This allows for multiple other options to be woven in depending on the person.
Woven Messenger Bag
With this bag, the main goal was to try and create a bag that came from one pattern piece but additionally having a woven pocket in the front that could work with the screen printing design as a unique manipulation for it. Additionally, the woven pocket doubles as branding with the letter “T”. As shown in the video there are also interchangeable adjustments that can be made to the bag because of closures.
Distressed Woven Laptop Envelope Case
With this product, I wanted to have an effortless woven case that would have a loop mechanism for securing the weaves. Additionally, the goal was not to sew for any of the seams and this was accomplished however there was some sewing that had to be done to secure the loose woven strips.
